The SolarXtreme controller works only with the California LightWorks SolarXtreme 820 and 640. It allows automated programming for spectrum control, 24-hour timer, and day/week/month calendar. Now it is possible to program an entire grow cycle automatically – varying the spectrum, the length of the day, transitions from veg to bloom, final finishing modes, sunrise/sunset – all in a low cost easy to program digital controller.

Great Light at a Great Price

I have to say that so far I am totally impressed with my Solar Extreme 820!! I really did want the Spectramax 1000 but they were out of that particular grow light. Christy talked to me about the Solar Extreme 820 and told me that the engineers at California Light Works were really excited about its lighting ability and the way it’s built!!! Needless to say, she talked me in to buying one and I’m really glad I did!!! I’ve had it on my plants now for a little over 2 weeks and I am really impressed at the light output of this 820 watt light!!! It has been doing a great job and the plants are growing fantastic and looking just as good as they do under my 1000 watt Spider Farmer SE1000W light!!! They have just started budding and I am totally excited to see how my new Solar Extreme 820 will perform but so far I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well this light is working!!! Something I’d also like to touch on is the weight of this light!!! It is very sturdy yet really lightweight, about half of what my Spider Farmer lights weigh so they’re much easier to install and also raise and lower!! The Solar Extreme even comes with all the hardware to hang it!!! Optionaly you can buy a Controller like I did and it gives you flexibility to set the light up however you want to!! Lastly the Controller offers sunup and sundown control!!! I hope everyone enjoys their light as much as I have so far!!! Happy Growing

Solar extreme 820

I have not started a grow yet but the light is extremely bright at 100%. Kinda curious how the plants will react with the controller option of 1/2 hour of dimming and lighting when it’s time for lights on or off. I believe it will definitely do the job.
